About Lagoon Institute of Hospitality Studies
The Lagoon Institute of Hospitality Studies is a project of the Nigerian Association for Women’s Advancement (N.A.W.A), a registered not-for- profit, non-governmental educational and social welfare Trust. It is situated on Adewunmi Adebimpe Drive, Lekki. Adjacent to it is The Lagoon School, Lekki, a girls-only Day School, which is the first project of N.A.W.A.
Who can Apply
LIHS is a tertiary for young female school leavers with relevant passes in WAEC and/or SSCE external examinations and an interest in pursuing a career in Hospitality and Tourism Students are primarily fully residential for the 2-year period of their training.
Courses we offer
The Institute also runs supplementary non-residential short-term courses. Students who have completed their 2-year training are awarded levels 1 and 2 National Skills Qualification (NSQ) certificates. The NSQ certification is recognised locally and internationally.Founded
LIHS began operations in November 2015 and is currently in the process of admitting its fourth batch of students. The graduation ceremony of the first set of graduates of the institute will be held in a couple of months. .
